re:publica 2026
For this year's re:publica conference design, we created a series of circular motifs that reflect the event's diverse range of topics and the values of its community in a playful way. Starting with a globe, we soon expanded into a series of deliberately low-brow illustrations, including a smiley face, a disco ball, a network and a labyrinth. With this year's theme being 'Never Gonna Give You Up', the question is: what matters most to you? What would you never give up? The circle also features in the stage design: Our signature bakery crates are back and better than ever, arranged this time into glowing rings and orbits.
With around 10,000 participants, re:publica is one of the largest conferences on topics at the intersection of society, politics, and digital culture. Since 2016, we have developed the event's visual identity based on its annual theme. We apply the design to digital assets and printed material, and as the festival's art directors, we oversee the development of stage and on-site designs, as well as motion graphics.
